Ali Mohammadi is an assistant professor of applied Microbiology and Nanobiotechnology. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology from the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Biological Science, and the University of Shahid Beheshti. He holds a Master of Science in Microbiology from the University of Shahid Beheshti. His current research interest focuses on Applied Microbiology & Biotechnology and Nanobiotechnology, at Alzahra University.

His primary research interests are in the application of nanotechnology to problems relevant to microbial decay of crops. He is particularly interested in methods for understanding antibiotics and antimicrobial agents' delivery at molecular, cellular, organism, and population levels. Other work focuses on applied & industrial microbiology to solving everyday problems of society.
